📢 Official information – Compulsory medical insurance | Competition season
Following extensive discussions and clarifications with the Romanian Federation of Sports Motorsports, we are forced to inform drivers of an important change regarding mandatory medical insurance.
According to the new requirements imposed by the federation, the insurance had to include additional mandatory clauses, which did not exist in previous seasons. These clauses aim, among others:
- extending coverage in the event of an accident occurring during sports competitions;
- additional medical costs and emergency interventions;
- a broader protection for the driver throughout the competition season.
As a result of these requirements, the value of the medical insurance has been updated to 200 lei for the entire season, compared to 100 lei as it was last season.
We clearly mention that this increase is not a discretionary decision, but the direct result of the obligations imposed by the federation. At the same time, we would like to emphasize that we have held discussions and negotiations to adjust the final value downwards, so that the financial impact on the drivers is as low as possible, while maintaining compliance with the new rules.
The insurance is valid for the entire competitive season, thus providing continuity and safety during all stages.
